Horstmann, a long established manufacturer of domestic and commercial heating controls is now part of the Entity Group.
Entity Group's interests in the UK include PRI Limited in Winchester. Both Horstmann and PRI share the vision for Smart Metering and Home Energy Controls and already have a lot in common at the strategic level. Each business remains focused on its own customers and markets. This move creates the most advanced, interoperable range of Smart Metering and Home Control solutions available in the UK.
PRI and Horstmann individually enjoy the reputation as leaders of the Smart Metering agenda and have a number of active projects in the UK. They promote Smart Metering and see energy conservation by the active involvement of domestic energy users as a key element of the climate change agenda.
Sanjaya Singhal CEO of Entity Group commented: "Horstmann is a perfect fit for our strategy to deliver Smart Metering in the UK and for our global Advanced Metering Infrastructure roadmap. Their experience and knowledge of Home Controls and display devices and their strong development team will help us develop Horstmann as a centre of excellence in these areas.
Horstmann will continue to be led by its present Managing Director Les Woolner and its Engineering & Operations Director Andy Deeming.
