With the introduction of the 17th Edition of the IEE Wiring Regulations rapidly approaching; the Electrical Contractors' Association (ECA) has announced it will provide each of its member firms with a free pack containing the17th Edition of the IEE Wiring Regulations together with ECA advice.
The packs, which would normally cost around £90, will contain a complete copy of BS7671: 2008 (17th Edition of the IEE Wiring Regulations) plus a copy of the ECA Installer Guide to BS7671: 2008, both of which will be essential reference documents for all those carrying out electrical work when the regulations come into effect next summer.
David Pollock, Group Chief Executive Officer of the ECA says: "This comes as part of our ongoing efforts to ensure firms can meet the new regulations as quickly, simply and effectively as possible."
BS7671: 2008 will be the National Standard for most electrical installation work undertaken in the UK, and will also be adopted by a number of other countries throughout the world.
The new regulations will come into effect on 1 July 2008, meaning new electrical installations, additions or alterations designed after this time will need to comply.
