This is your last chance
This is your last chance to prove that you are the best of the best in the building controls industry because time is running out to enter the 2008 Building Controls Industry Awards which are being staged in association with the BCIA (Building Controls Industry Association) and BSEE.
Published:  21 November, 2007

BSEE and the BCIA have once again joined forces to bring you an awards programme designed to bring together the entire building controls industry in a celebration of the companies, innovations and people that are achieving the highest professional standards and helping to drive this dynamic industry forward.

Entries are already flooding in for the 2008 awards and because of this we have decided to extend the deadline to Monday 21 January 2008 – giving everyone the chance to fine-tune their entry and put together all of the supporting evidence required to prove that you are the best.

If you think you have what it takes to be the best of the best then read on because we are calling for entries in all of the award categories, for achievements which took place or were completed during 2006/07. The judging panel will be looking for evidence of genuine excellence, both measurable and memorable, and for guidance notes and an entry form, please email tfrankel@datateam.co.uk.

Entry is free, so if you work for or know of, an organisation that has enjoyed some successes over the past 18 months, we look forward to hearing from you. The deadline for all submissions is Monday 21 January 2008.

The Awards Dinner

This was THE industry event of 2007 where guests gathered together for an excellent evening of fun and entertainment. Anders Norén, Managing Director of Priva Building Intelligence Ltd who sponsored the awards said: “The Building Controls Industry Awards proved to be an exciting and rewarding event. Our sponsorship of the Technical Innovation of the Year category attracted a number of worthy entrants and allowed Priva to underline its own commitment to technical innovation.

“The skills demanded of the people who work within the building controls industry are manifold. Its engineers, technical support and sales people are required to be conversant not just with building controls theory and practice, but have a good working knowledge of all of the building services that interact with a building management system. For that reason we were particularly pleased when Richard Bush, Priva Technical Specialist, won the Engineer of the Year award and when Priva Partner, Campbell Control Services, was awarded Systems Installer of the Year.”

Don’t miss out on your chance to win an award in 2008 – put 15 May 2008 in your diary now for an awards dinner which promises to be even better than last year.

Sponsorship

There are a number of exciting and unique sponsorship opportunities available at the event for proactive companies to raise their profile. With an overall reach of some 50,000 active building controls buyers, users and specifiers, and fully supported by the BCIA, BSEE & Building Automation magazines, the 2008 awards programme will provide supporting organisations with a fully-integrated promotional campaign, comprising powerful pre-& post-event messaging and branding, and an impressive presence at the event itself.

This is the only opportunity for the whole of the building controls industry to join together to celebrate the many successes in the industry – we look forward to seeing you on the night for a celebration which promises to be second to none.

The Building Controls Industry Awards 2008 is organised by Datateam Publishing Limited in association with BCIA and BSEE.
