In a move to further strengthen its position in the UK air conditioning market, Vaillant has appointed Stuart Maddock as its new Technical Sales Manager for air conditioning. He takes over the role from Mark Richards, who remains with the company, moving to the role of Air Conditioning Product Manager.
Commenting on the appointment, Darren Finley, Director of Vaillant’s Applied Systems Division, said: “Stuart comes to us with a great deal of experience, having worked in the industry for 27 years. In his role as technical manager, he will promote Vaillant’s air conditioning products using his technical knowledge to increase our market penetration.”
Stuart brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the role, having previously been employed as technical manager at LGE-UK. He began his career designing and manufacturing central station air handling and filtration equipment, and has worked in America and the Middle East as well for companies including York and Lennox.
Speaking about the challenges facing the air conditioning sector, Stuart was keen to emphasise: “There is definitely a shortage of skilled people; workers have been lost in many areas, and there has not been enough training to fill the gaps that have been left behind.”
