Following successful installations in Banbury and Telford in 2006, Tesco has selected Pickerings Lifts (Pickerings) to provide 2,000kg hydraulic goods lifts for its stores in Billingham, Coulby Newham and Cleethorpes, as part of the top retailer’s on-going expansion and redevelopment programme.
Working with Tesco lift consultants, Lerch Bates, Pickerings has tailored the lift design to meet Tesco’s specifications. In particular, the goods lifts enable full disabled access, in line with the requirements of the Disability Discrimination Act.
“We manufacture locally at our Stockton-on-Tees plant,” confirms Account Manager, Paul Meadowcroft-Loughlin, “and are able to provide a flexible bespoke design and installation service which can respond to any individual client requirements.”
