The Air Curtain Industry Group of HEVAC has produced an Air Curtain Guide on the benefits, applications and requirements of air curtains to assist specifiers during the selection process.
The aim of the Air Curtain Industry Group is to promote the effective use of air curtains within a building’s environmental parameters by supplying equipment specifications from which considered decisions can be made.
To achieve these aims it will offer guidance on the application, installation and maintenance of air curtain products and systems and promote the products as an efficient means of preventing energy loss from buildings with open doorways and entrances. This Guide has been produced as a first step in achieving these aims.
The HEVAC Association, through its umbrella organisation FETA, is a key consultation partner with government departments on regulations affecting the HVACR sector and will be able to provide input on this product category on future energy consultations.
Copies of the Guide can be obtained by calling 0118 949 3416 or may be downloaded from the FETA website.
