An industry training facility has been set up by Trox UK under the directorship of Terry Farthing. The Trox Academy has been formed to offer training both to its employees and customers.
The Academy has already hosted a series of technical meetings which were attended by over 100 engineers from within the industry. The overwhelming success was due to the subject matter and the tests and demonstrations in the Trox laboratory following each individual seminar.
As Terry Farthing explained: “This is a unique training forum where you are first coached on the principles and theory, then you go into the laboratory and see the whole thing come alive with actual demonstrations on the specific systems under review”.
In the first series of technical meetings, subjects covered included high induction active chilled beams, fan coil systems with airside control and the use of EC motors and CO2 as a refrigerant in data cooling centres and dealer desks.

There is an obvious need for the industry to be more energy efficient and pay more attention to the ways in which energy is both used and wasted. Do you think we have the products on the market to meet our needs?
