Vaillant’s Applied Systems Division has provided The Keswick Country House Hotel, Cumbria – part of the chain of Choice Hotels – with two ecoCRAFT 240kW floor standing condensing boilers and a VRC 630 cascade controller and combined weather compensator. These replace the old modular boiler and water heater.
Director of Choice Hotels, Eddie Nelders, commented: “Keswick Country House is a Victorian hotel which was built to accommodate rail travellers visiting the Lake District – the old station is now an annex to the main hotel. The installation of the new boilers was a major refurbishment of the very old – and very inefficient – heating and hot water plant. Not only are the new boilers more environmentally friendly, they will also be far more economical to run.”
The ecoCRAFT – the first floor standing condensing commercial boiler from Vaillant – is ideal for Choice Hotels, as it complies with Part L2 of the Building Regulations for new and replacement installations, therefore contributing to the lowered running costs of a building. Each 40 kW module of the boiler has an independent sensor and overheat facility, while there is also a removable condensate tray with inspection cover, allowing for easy maintenance, cleaning and inspection.
