The York Tempo range of energy efficient air-cooled scroll chillers has joined the growing number of other York products on the Carbon Trust’s Energy Technology List (ETL). These include York Sonata low sound, air-cooled screw chillers, whose entry on the list has been extended to include the higher capacity models.
York, a Johnson Controls company, recently launched Tempo at the Mostra Convegno exhibition in Italy. The Tempo combines first class energy efficiency with low sound levels, plug and play installation, reliability, quality assurance and precise operating performance, all verified at York’s Eurovent certified environmental test facility. York Tempo offers cooling capacities from 180kW to 480kW and uses non-ozone depleting refrigerant R410A. The economical standard efficiency models achieve an Energy Efficiency Ratio (EER) of 2.74, whilst the high efficiency units reach 3.1.
Having satisfied the relevant energy saving criteria in order to be featured on the ETL, the complete York Tempo range, including high efficiency and low sound models, are now eligible for tax relief under the Enhanced Capital Allowance (ECA) Scheme.
