The Leeds office of White Young Green(WYG),have been commissioned by Aire Valley Leeds to prepare an Environmental Improvement Plan for the Hunslet Stourton Corridor which is located within the regeneration area.
Aire Valley Leeds is one of the most significant regeneration opportunities in the region and is a major gateway and transport corridor,providing an important link to and from the City centre together with access to the motorway network and surrounding communities.
Sue Ansbro,Director of the WYG Planning office in Leeds comments:“White Young Green will be working closely with Gillespies LLP to produce this Environmental Improvement Plan which will take account of the concerns of local communities and businesses within the study area in relation to the environment.The plan will identify a range of solutions and possible schemes together with costs for all identified environmental improvements”.
The findings of the study will be used to draw up aprogramme of environmental improvements and will be subject to a further application for funding from the Single Regeneration Budget(SRB) Round 6. The study is due to be completed in September 2005.
