Priva goes BACnet
Published:  02 July, 2005

PRIVA Building Intelligence is one of the newest members of the BACnet Interest Group Europe and coinciding with their membership the company has released the Comforte CX controller.

The Comforte CX room control unit is a native BACnet – Application Specific Controller (BASC),which communicates using BACnet MS/TP. This combines the advantages of RS485,such as simple wiring and standard converters, with the versatility of BACnet.

The Comforte CX provides an entirely new concept in controlling climate, lighting and sunblind settings in work and leisure environments. This means that a single integrated room controller is now capable of performing the functions of a number of separate devices. The Comforte CX delivers faster engineering, more maintainable systems and lower network loads.Modular design makes for maximum flexibility in combination with a transparent and easily understandable product range;and universal use of Wieland GST18 connectors for all mains electricity connections makes installation faster and easier.

Comforte CX units are able to communicate both with each other and with hierarchically superior devices via the BACnet MS/TP data network
