Bill Wright has been appointed President of the Electrical Contractors Association(ECA).
He took office in a ceremony at the opening of the ECA Electrical Industry Conference in Mallorca on 16 May and called for the industry to embrace change as an opportunity for commercial success.
Accepting his appointment,Bill said:“The electro-technical sector is undergoing an unprecedented level of change.
It is important not to be intimidated by change but to view it as an opportunity that can positively influence commercial success”.In particular,he highlighted four key areas to consider,these include: commercial practices and behaviour;overcoming barriers and building trust;sustainability;regulations.
Bill joined the ECA in 1981 and has been an active member since 1985 having been South Yorkshire Branch Chairman,North East Regional Chairman,served two terms on the ECA Council and sat on various ECA committees and working parties.He has been chair of the ECA Contracts,Commercial and Legal Standing Committee since 2003.
