Frico has completed a series of installations at Hampshire’s new Rose Bowl County Cricket Ground, a state-of-the-art stadium and training complex.
Incorporated into the project is a cocktail of Frico’s finest heating solutions including fan heaters, air curtains, radiant heaters and ceiling fans.
With a large open area, high roof and little wall space in the indoor training facility, conventional wall-mounted or ceiling-mounted heating systems were unable to issue the desired heat levels. The environment required a rapid circulation of warm air allowing year-round use of the facility and Frico’s Panther fan heaters provided the ideal solution.
Raj Maru, Performance Cricket Development Officer at Rose Bowl, said: “The Frico units in the training area have taken the edge off the cold when working out. They do a fantastic job.”
Another location requirement in the Southampton-based club’s corporate hospitality and viewing glazed area was quick heat lift and reduction of ‘cold radiation.’ To ensure optimal results, Frico installed air curtains, radiant heaters and ceiling fans. Air curtains were used to block cold air from entering the area and warm air from escaping and ceiling fans were specified to reduce energy consumption and provide summer cooling. Radiant heaters completed the heating system by strategically reducing cold radiation from the large glazed area.
