Global focus on building solutions
Published:  07 February, 2005

Invensys has formed a new division, Advanced Building Systems (ABS), dedicated to the commercial building management market.

The new business centralises all Invensys’ building management products and services from USA, Asia and Europe, including Satchwell in the UK, under one global management structure.

The move is designed to better serve the changing needs of a marketplace that has seen a shift in demand from traditional building management systems to more advanced environmental control solutions. It will also enable the company to focus on building and maintaining relationships with worldwide organisations to produce and deliver

technologically advanced products to customers across the globe. The new ABS division intends to aggressively grow its product distribution model through partnerships in both traditional and under-served markets.

Dave LeSage, Managing Director of Advanced Building Systems, commented: “The new ABS business, with its single global management team, will bring efficiencies in decision making and provide greater flexibility to meet customer demand.Customers are asking for more added value products and services;the ABS business, through its global partner network, will offer products that use the latest technology, are easier to install and have lower total life costs.”
