LG Electronics has declared war on the UK market in an
announcement outlining dramatic plans designed to
position the company amongst the country’s top three air
conditioning manufacturers by 2007.
General Manager, Tony Gittings, stated: “We know that
the top two VRF players are formidable competitors, with
extremely good, proven product ranges. We will attain
growth by securing market share with superior product
performance, service and technical excellence, as well as
more desirable market prices.”
Though the company have their sights set firmly on
further success in the future, their current battle plans are
the result of considerable introspection and inward
investment.
Increased numbers of qualified service and technical
personnel are being slotted into a revised staff structure
that is designed to encourage both individual excellence
and improved distribution and sales support for
contractors, end-users, specifiers and building services
consultancies alike.
“It’s time to evolve and move up scale in the
marketplace’s perception of the LG brand,” Tony Gittings
asserted, adding that an important part of this offensive
would be continuous training to be carried out at the
company’s own bespoke, dedicated Training Academy,
which will open in early 2005.
