Following a short illness, from which he is now fully recovered;Sid Patten has decided to leave Scottish Building to pursue a fresh challenge.

We would like to thank Sid for his whole hearted endeavours on behalf of Scottish Building over the past 10 years and wish him well for the future”.
Sid Patten comments: “It has been a privilege to serve as Chief Executive of Scottish Building over the past 10 years and to work with the members of the Board,Operational Committees and Member Associations.There have been many significant achievements during this period for both Scottish Building and its related organisations. It has been a very satisfying and rewarding role.I wish Scottish Building, its Office Bearers and Members continued success”.
Douglas Fergus was appointed General Manager of Scottish Building in October; he has immense experience in the construction industry and was previously Scottish Manager of CITB-Construction Skills.
