Fujitsu General’s residential air conditioning division has won the ‘Good Design Award’ from the Japan Industrial Design Promotion Organisation. The award was given to the company’s AWY ceiling wall unit based on overall design, development concept and use of new technologies.
Singled out were the product’s airflow, heating and cooling capabilities.
Fujitsu’ airflow technology delivers warm air at floor level to encourage even strata of warmth throughout the space, while at the same time ensuring that the room’s occupants are protected from any possibility of draughts.
The AWY was also praised for its high energy efficiency rating, placing it within the industry’s top Energy Efficiency Rating (EER). In addition, the world’s first automatic filter cleaning mechanism has cut cleaning down to an annual occurrence, which also improves its energy saving capability.
