Tyco Thermal Controls has launched Raychem TraceCalc Net Construction, an interactive online design tool for the heat-tracing of pipes to provide freeze protection and/or hot water temperature maintenance. This easy to use tool enables consultants, contractors and system specifiers to calculate heat losses, undertake the design work and generate an optimised Bill of Materials.
TraceCalc.net Construction requires no software download just the inputting of key data and design parameters (ie. temperature requirements, pipe types and sizes, insulation, electrical supply, control etc.) into an on-screen template. Users can then generate and print off in PDF or Word format a complete Bill of Materials for use in tendering or saving as a project design file and request a Raychem system quotation. It also offers the flexibility to evaluate alternative installation and design options simply by resubmitting amended design data.
This new version of TraceCalc is based on the well-proven and highly successful TraceCalc design tools so popular in industrial applications. It is specifically tailored for consultants and contractors in the construction industry looking to electrical heat-tracing systems for the freeze protection or hot water temperature maintenance of piped services.
