Delta Controls launches DHMI
Published:  05 March, 2009

Delta Controls Inc has announced the launch of its 7-inch, colour LCD display touch screen - the DHMI.

The new Delta HMI (Human Machine Interface) can be used for interfacing with Delta Controls building automation systems and BACnet controllers for HVAC, access and lighting control.

It uses BACnet over Ethernet to communicate with building controllers on a LAN (Local Area Network). This technology allows operators to monitor and manage building HVAC systems via real-time graphics. The 3D animated graphics can be completely customised for any given application.

The touch screen can be wall or panel mounted in mechanical rooms to allow for monitoring and setting schedules for air handlers, boilers, chillers and other mechanical equipment.

The DHMI's modern design also means it can be mounted in public spaces. As a small building interface it can be used by facilities staff to easily carry out operations such as changes to occupancy schedules, temperature setpoint adjustments and viewing floor layouts.

"Delta is committed to continual innovation and the DHMI is a highly anticipated addition to its UK product portfolio," says John Brough, Delta's Director of Technical Services for the UK.
