Grundfos Pumps has acquired Yeomans Chicago Corporation (YCC) who specialise in wastewater pumps. The company has been in business since 1898 and market products under the brand names of Yeomans Pumps, Chicago Pumps and Morris Pumps.
This news is in addition to other current Grundfos global investments that will result in the doubling of the production area at the Grundfos factory in Suzhou, China, that will open in 2009. Another new green factory building is also under construction in Singapore and is scheduled to open in 2010.
The Yeomans acquisition will further strengthen the Grundfos product offering, that has already benefited from the previous acquisition of Peerless and PACO Pumps especially within the wastewater and sewage product portfolios both in North America and beyond.
