The Lumicom website (www.lumicom.co.uk) has now been enhanced to include even more useful information about the disposal and recycling of luminaires.
Providing a valuable resource for lighting manufacturers, building operators, electrical contractors and specifiers, the site features a wealth of information about the WEEE Directive and how this impinges on the disposal of light fittings in practical terms. It also explains the services offered through Lumicom, as well as listing approved lighting producers registered with the Lumicom scheme.
Recent additions to the site include a handy events diary, detailing relevant exhibitions and other sources of useful information. Visitors to the site will also be able to download the latest news on recycling in newsletter format.
Building operators can also find out more about their own responsibilities under the WEEE Directive by downloading the ‘Fact Sheet for Clients'. All users can also find their nearest depot simply by entering their own postcode or that of the site they are working on.
