Training is on the cards
Published:  20 March, 2008

Buderus has opened a new commercial training and sales administration centre at Blackpole in Worcester.

The training centre provides specialist training facilities covering the extensive range of Buderus commercial boilers and controls and gives heating engineers, contractors and installers the opportunity to undertake invaluable hands-on training with large boilers with heat outputs from 40kW to 400kW. These represent the full Buderus high efficiency commercial boiler range and control systems.

The Blackpole training centre is the second of three similar facilities, with one already fully operational in West Thurrock on the outskirts of London and another scheduled for opening shortly in Bradford to cover the north of England.

Courses available include fully accredited commercial ACS training incorporating CODNCO1, and COCN1 with external ACS assessors completing final individual testing and ACS certificates awarded. Successfully completing these courses will allow  suitably qualified CORGI domestic installers to carry out work on commercial installations such as schools, hospitals, old people's homes and office developments.

Richard Evans, Buderus Commercial Director comments: "As a result of the specification successes we have achieved over the last year, we have been adding to our customer support services to ensure we provide all the assistance required by those seeking the most energy and cost efficient heating and hot water systems for non-domestic installations. We have strengthened our technical sales team in recent months to provide additional support throughout the country and have, at the same time, increased the number of personnel in our technical department, which is in great demand to provide in-depth advice on selecting the best solutions for individual projects.  The opening of our second training centre is a major benefit for commercial contractors and heating engineers, in the Midlands especially, as it includes fully working boilers into which faults can be introduced to train course attendees on fault diagnosis and correction as well as installation and maintenance."
