New pressure switches
Published:  19 December, 2007

Johnson Controls has launched a new range of PED approved pressure switches for refrigeration, air conditioning and heat pump applications.

The P77 series single pressure controls, which have a range of three to 42 bar, can be used in a variety of applications involving high or low pressure refrigeration, and are IP54 classified. The switches are suitable for use in conjunction with R22, R134A, R404A, R410A, plus all other non-corrosive refrigerants within the operating range of the control, and other high or low pressure applications such as air and water.

The controls are provided with a special power element, with external pressure on the bellows, instead of internal pressure like the present standard versions. All models are provided with alarm contacts, and standard models have phosphor bronze bellows and brass pressure connections. They can be used for control functions or limit functions, depending on the model number.

The design and function of the P77 series allows for numerous benefits, which include generous wiring space, Splash proof enclosure and trip-free manual reset.
