Make the most of condensing boilers
Published:  19 December, 2007

With condensing boilers now becoming the norm, Dunham Bush has engineered its Avant Garde range of fan convectors to operate with lower flow and return temperatures to maximise energy savings through condensing.

Typical temperatures are 55°C flow, 35°C return at peak loads, and further savings are achieved through the low water content, which delivers reductions in pumping energy by up to 87%. Low water content, combined with the low thermal mass of the unit, also ensures a rapid response to changes in heating demand. Standing heat losses are also reduced compared to conventional fan convectors, because of the low return temperature.

Optional features include a high efficiency DC motor with around 50% less electrical power consumption than a standard motor.

The Avant-garde specification can be supplied with fan convectors from Dunham Bush Series AM (in-room units) and Series BM (concealed units) models, offering the same duties, options and features; including a wide range of control options.
