The principle of the Yorkshire integral solder ring fitting has remained the same since its launch by Yorkshire Fittings Limited in 1934. Manufactured from copper and copper alloy, fittings contain a ring of solder that is released into the gap between copper tube and fitting when heat is applied, resulting in a totally sound joint without the need to end feed additional solder.
