New Honeywell controller
Published:  19 September, 2007

Honeywell has introduced the Excel 800 programmable controller, its most powerful heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) control solution to date. Part of Honeywell’s Excel 5000 Open system, the Excel 800 is price competitive, combining significant savings in respect of installation, start up and life cycle costs with energy optimisation, free cooling, optimum start up/stop and peak load limitation functionality.

To cover any kind of application requirements the Excel 800 features twice the memory capacity of Honeywell’s popular Excel 500 controller and is typically 50% faster, giving contractors and design engineers more flexibility to design and control complex applications. In addition it is built for simplified installation and commissioning and a reduced need for training.

New patented features such as push-in terminals, connector bridges and cross connectors mean that wiring is five times faster than for standard systems with screw terminals.

Besides installation efficiency and engineering flexibility, Excel 800 also offers enhanced serviceability. Plug & play technology allows replacement of defective input/output modules while others have power and continue to operate.
