Students feel the heat
Published:  22 August, 2007

Fourteen Broag Avanta 24S boilers and one Broag Quinta boiler have been installed at the University of Liverpool student accommodation. The student flats at Tudor Close were fitted with the high efficiency boilers, replacing existing older boilers, during renovations of the twenty year-old residences.

The new Remeha Avanta range of system boilers makes use of the latest domestic boiler technology to create one of the most compact boilers available on the market. The Avanta boiler range consists of high efficiency domestic system boilers with ultra low Nox emission, which are in a class of their own. They are the lightest boilers in their class, weighing in at under 18 kilograms. They are the smallest with dimensions of 600mm x 400mm x 300mm, and have the highest flow rate in their class.

The hot water outputs from 6 to 39 kilowatts with 16 litres of hot water per minute, making the Avanta boilers ideal for the busy student accommodation. The flats were finished in October last year.
