New software that increases productivity, accuracy and coordination between trades, from first design through to final documentation, is being brought to the UK. Stabiplan, the leading Dutch software developer specialising in building service applications, is introducing StabiCAD.
StabiCAD significantly saves time when preparing drawings, with productivity improvements of over 50% compared to plain-vanilla AutoCAD. With a choice of two DWG-based CAD platforms, the StabiCAD is available as an AutoCAD application, as well as a version for IntelliCAD, for those with a smaller budget or less frequent CAD usage.
As the software has been totally dedicated to building service applications
(including electrical, HVAC, plumbing, drainage and fire service pipework) the package is easy to follow and learn. Drawings typically are created quickly in 2D, with the possibility to view and edit the installations in 3D if needed, allowing draftsmen to get a more realistic view and to check for clashes with other equipment in plant rooms.
Paul Grootendorst, Stabiplan’s international sales director, sees that the benefits found by his 7000+ European customers are just as realisable in the UK.
