Scorpion Power Systems has introduced a new range of gas powered generator sets designed to work with LPG (liquid propane gas) and natural gas. Powered by PSI GM industrial engines, Scorpion’s new range of UK manufactured gas generators do not require manual refuelling and offer a quieter, cleaner alternative to diesel power generators.
Available with engine sizes ranging from 14.7kVA to 132 kVA, the quality PSI GM engines incorporate features to enhance performance and strength. These include a world-class engine sealing system for superior leak protection, composite rock arm cover and front cover to lessen noise and pistons with high silicon content for improved durability and noise reduction.
Other key features include Sintered powdered-metal exhaust valve seat inserts for enhanced durability and nodular iron crankshaft for increased strength. The cylinder head intake and exhaust ports are separated and large for improved flow. Cam timing, lift and duration are optimised for natural gas useage along with low speed, high torque requirements.
