The Business of Change
Published:  25 January, 2007

The Business of Change: Assessing Challenges, Defining Opportunities and Building Cities of the Future is the theme for the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers’ (CIBSE’s) National Conference 2007.

Taking place at The Hotel Russell, London, on 24 and 25 April, the conference is an important date in the building services calendar and promises to be insightful and informative, with high level speakers, topical content and lively debate.

Delegates will hear from esteemed speakers from organisations such as the London Climate Change Agency, Thames Gateway, The Carbon Trust, British Property Federation and DCLG.

Sessions include “A Wake up Call for Us All: Under the Caution of the Stern Review and the Climate Change Bill”, which looks at assessing and managing the threats, opportunities and costs of climate variability and climate change, and “Making the Transition to Sustainability: The Business Case”.

The evening reception and gala dinner will be held at Lincoln’s Inn, one of the prestigious Inns of Court, within the Great Hall, a room steeped in tradition and providing an impressive backdrop for the occasion.

CIBSE President David Hughes said: “The CIBSE National Conferences attract a huge number of delegates from a wide range of disciplines and are an annual highlight for the building services industry and beyond. The 2007 event is set to build on past success and reflect the increasing role of building services within key issues such as climate change and sustainability.”
