Mercury launch new website
Published:  22 November, 2006

Mercury Recycling Limited has launched a new website that is designed to provide information on new legislation and how this will affect your organisation with respect to safe waste disposal. New EU legislation means that certain wastes are now categorised as hazardous and as such can only be taken to a suitably licensed recycling facility or authorised landfill site. Spent lamps and used batteries are examples of hazardous waste.

The new website is not only informative, as it lets you decide which service is for you and takes you through the entire process used for Mercurys recycling processes. There are currently three areas of recycling provided by Mercury, which are Lampsafe, Bulbsafe and Batterysafe. All three services have an easy to use hotline and each contract is tailored to meet the needs of the user, reflecting their turnover of batteries or lamps. Mercury provides a full end-to-end service, including all of the necessary paperwork to provide a full audit trail and meet the Hazardous Waste Regulations. All of this and more is detailed on this useful, easy to navigate website at www.mercuryrecycling.co.uk
