New era for Baxi Commercial
Published:  26 October, 2006

Paul Hardy has been appointed as the new Managing Director for Baxi Commercial Heating, which incorporates the Andrews Water Heaters, Potterton and Baxi Commercial businesses. The appointment comes as part of the division's strategy to create synergy across its commercial brands and become market leaders in the provision of commercial heating.

Paul Hardy takes up the role, effective immediately, from his current position as Sales Director for Andrews Water Heaters. His drive and determination have been key factors in the recent success of the water heating business and his appointment to Managing Director will give new momentum to the ongoing development of the Commercial Division's heating brands.

Following Paul Hardy's promotion, former Potterton and Baxi Commercial Managing Director, Ken Percival, will be moving upwards in the company to take up the post of Commercial Products Director at Baxi Group. In his new position, Ken will be responsible for the strategic development of commercial products and new technologies in Europe, including the introduction of solar, CHP and other renewable commercial heating solutions.

Paul Rivett, Managing Director for the Commercial Division of Baxi Heating UK said: "To further increase our competitive edge in the commercial heating arena, we felt it was a logical next step to take the marketing drive and success achieved by Andrews Water Heaters and apply it to our commercial boilers division.

"Under the responsibility of Paul Hardy, the Baxi Commercial Heating businesses will all operate independently to keep their brand identities and strong product and customer service bases, but each company will also benefit from shared experiences and resources. We wish Paul every success in his new role as Managing Director and look forward to seeing how he achieves results for the Commercial Heating division.

"We are obviously very sad to be losing the experience and expertise of Ken Percival, who has dedicated 10 years to Potterton Commercial, but understand that his knowledge of the heating market and activities through ICOM will be invaluable in his new and challenging role at Group level."
