High efficiency becomes standard
Published:  26 October, 2005

When Grundfos introduced the world’s first vertical multistage centrifugal pump back in 1952, it could not have been foreseen that the product range would not only go from strength to strength but would continue to evolve and break new ground.

From 1 January they will add another first to their list of attributes when they become the first industrial pump family to have EFF1 energy efficient motors fitted as standard on all 1.10 – 45kW 3 phase pumps. This is the second Grundfos pump family to achieve this high efficiency standard – the TP range of close-coupled circulator pumps were the first entire family to go EFF1 when this range was reconfigured back in 2003.

This means that CR pumps fully qualify for the Government’s ECA Scheme (Enhanced Capital Allowance Scheme) that enables business end users to claim tax relief at 100 percent on current qualifying capital plant purchases, in year one.
