Selected on the basis of quality and previous experience of their reliability,Oventrop valves have been used to control the heating system throughout the new extension at Barberstown Castle,Straffan in County Kildare,Ireland.
Barberstown Castle is a 13th century country house hotel a short drive away from Dublin Airport and the City Centre.
Each of the en-suite bedrooms is decorated in an individual style and dedicated to ordinary and extraordinary people who have stayed within its walls.
The new extension,which was a design and build project by mechanical contractor BMD,part of the Bowen Group,comprises 37 new bedrooms to the same extremely high standard as the existing,a new Edwardian style conservatory reception area for the hotel and a conference room for 150 delegates.
The radiator heating system in the new premises is controlled using over 100 Oventrop Series A TRVs and Combi 2 lockshield valves, commissioning sets,isolation valves and strainers.Oventrop Series A thermostatic radiator valves have the same flow rate for all sizes and are the standard model for two pipe heating systems.Oventrop Combi 2 lockshield valves have a regulating feature to facilitate adjustment of the room-toroom heat output.
