Following months of
discussion, the Major Projects
Agreement Forum have
endorsed an agreement
reached on 30 March 2005 by
Amicus and the employers at
the Heathrow Terminal 5
Programme which looks set
to settle the performance pay
dispute.
The agreement covers the
remaining period of the
construction programme until
2008 and provides for
increases in the Major Project
Performance Payment and
introduces a Supplementary
Project Performance Payment
within the Supplementary
Project Agreement for the
Terminal 5 Programme.
The previous claim for
compensation for travelling to
and from the Terminal 5 site
has been withdrawn by
Amicus.
Sir Michael Latham,
Chairman of the MPA Forum,
stated after the meeting: “I am
very pleased that the
parties have achieved
an agreement which
will provide a
platform for the
benefits of the MPA
to be maximised on
this vital project over
the next three years.
Whilst the resolution
of the issues
encompassed by this
agreement has not been easy,
the outcome reflects the
commitment of Amicus and
the employers to the
objectives of the MPA and to
the success of the Terminal 5
Programme on behalf of
BAA.”
