Improved performance and aesthetics
Published:  05 May, 2005

Improved performance and aesthetics combine in a new range of extracts for passive ventilation from Passivent Ltd.

The new Passive Stack Ventilation(PSV)humidity sensitive extract is circular, which Passivent believes is a more aesthetically pleasing design, against the existing rectangular shape. It is also smaller,by some 25 percent, further enhancing the element of discretion in the system and minimising intrusion into the room’s design and decor. Yet it provides over 25 percent greater free ventilation area when fully open, increasing the potential for extraction.

The extract also features new elements in its design to improve operation and speed of response. These combine to allow a better circulation of air around the operating mechanism and faster activation of the extract, improving extract performance, reducing unnecessary heat loss and minimising risk of draughts. As with all Passivent PSV systems, the extract operates solely by natural air movement and humidity, requiring no electrical connections.

In addition to the new PSV extract,Passivent has introduced a new range of humidity sensitive inlets.
