A new range of high COP four-way blow heat pump and cooling only ceiling cassettes has been launched by Daikin Europe.Known as the FCQ-D or ‘Z’ Cassette,the R-410A operated unit is stylish and designed to blend in with any décor in the commercial air conditioning sector.
Available in 71,100,125 and 140 size models,the ‘Z’ cassette complements the company’s existing and broadly similar FCQ-B range with the exception of the 140 model,which is currently the largest capacity cassette produced by Daikin.
Intended solely for use in combination with the new Daikin RZQ,DC Super Inverter outdoor unit,the new cassette has capacities between 7.1 and 14.0kW (cooling) and 8.0 and 16.0kW (heating).
An important feature of the unit is its extremely high energy efficiency figures, which range from 3.59 (EER)/4.06 (COP) for the 71 model to 4.10 (EER)/4.38 (COP) for the 100 model and stem from the incorporation of a new design heat exchanger with larger heat transfer surfaces.Operating sound pressure levels vary from 34/28dBA 71 model) to 43/38 dBA (140 model).
