An updated version of the UK’s best selling steam pressure control valve has been launched by Spirax Sarco. The new Spirax Sarco DP27 valve replaces the DP17, combining the highly accurate control of its predecessor with increased resilience to harsh operating environments, easier servicing and simpler selection.These benefits have been achieved by a redesigned pilot valve block, new control spring and enclosure, plus other improvements.
The DP27 has the same face-to-face dimensions as the DP17, making it easy to retrofit.
The pilot valve is protected from pipeline debris by an easily replaced pilot filter. The flow path through this filter ensures no debris is left within the valve, even when the element is removed for cleaning.
The DP27’s pilot valve assembly is easily accessed from the top for rapid servicing, using standard tools and without the need to disconnect pipework.
Replacing the filter element is a simple, one-nut operation.
Gaskets within the pilot block are re-usable, enabling the pilot to be refurbished with no spares.It is possible to retrofit an installed DP17 with the new pilot block.
