Carrier Air Conditioning has launched the Totaltest 2, the first acid and moisture testing kit for R410A systems that does not require oil samples.
It has been introduced by Carrier to meet the growing need for easy to use tools that operate effectively in an R410A environment. The original Totaltest kits for R22 sold many thousands of sets in the UK alone. Totaltest 2 can be used with both air conditioning and refrigeration systems.
The risk of compressor failure can be avoided by testing, and the simplest method of doing so is claimed to be to use the Totaltest 2 kit. It is an all-in-one set that takes just ninety seconds to check for moisture contamination.
Totaltest 2 connects to the suction side service fitting of a system without the need to shut it down.
