Building services contractors at a distribution and office building in Fareham have dramatically reduced installation times by using Oventrop’s new Cocon 4 compact single control valves for fan coil units.
Oventrop also supplied commissioning sets and balancing and general plant room valves, to the three-storey centre, which has a warm air distribution system and 60 fan coil units to environmentally control the offices.
The Cocon 34 multifunctional valves, developed specifically for fan coils and ceiling beams, were supplied directly to the fan coil manufacturers, enabling them to assemble units, complete with heating and chilled water control, as well as outstations for the BMS installation. Once on site, the fan coils were connected to heating and chilled water, via flexible pipes and plugged into the BMS circuit. This swift installation was also enabled by the fact the fan coil units and valve assemblies were fully works pressure tested before dispatch to site.
