Helios have smoke solution
Published:  07 February, 2005

Helios have introduced a range of Centrifugal Roof Fans, designed specifically for emergency smoke extraction.

Independently tested and CTICM-certified for 400°C over a two hour period, the new product has the advantage of being able to operate continually at 170°C. It offers a robust design, for extreme and harsh operating conditions, and is fully speed controllable, using transformer controllers.

The new fans feature a totally enclosed fan cooling IEC motor, which is protected to IP55. This motor is maintenance free, with sealed-for-life bearings, together with a fitted, integral cooling impeller, which is thermally isolated. Also included is a dynamically balanced, backward curved, galvanized steel centrifugal impeller.

Available in two standard types, with all three phase models, these new fans are fully assembled and can be quickly installed on flat or pitched roofs, at any angle to 20° from the horizontal.

Helios also offer a wide variety of accessories, including back draught shutters, flexible connectors and flanges.
