Building management and security system specialist,Andover Controls, and supplier of integrated systems for building automation,TAC,have merged to become Tour Andover Controls.
The move follows the acquisition of Andover Controls in August 2004 by the French company,Schneider Electric,which purchased TAC in June 2003.
Built on the merger of two industry leaders with over 100 years of combined experience,Tour Andover Controls brings to the market place the most integrated and innovative solutions for building automation,security and energy management.
Arne Frank,former CEO of TAC,has accepted the role of CEO for the new company,which has 2,700 employees worldwide,projected revenue of over £363 million for 2004 and offices,branches and partners in more than 500 locations.
In the UK,the company is headed by Derek Duffill (Managing Director),Peter Richardson(Deputy Managing Director)and Garrie Naden (Finance Director).
Corporate headquarters for the combined companies are in Malmö, Sweden,and Andover,Massachusetts in the US.The UK headquarters are in Ashby-de-la-Zouch, Leicestershire.
