Growing demand for building services design skills in the capital has led consulting engineer Gifford to add a building services (M&E) engineering team to its busy London office.Gifford already has over 70 building services engineers nationally and has established the new base to meet the needs of its growing portfolio of projects in London. The new team will be led by Senior Mechanical Engineer Mark Smith.
“We are currently working on projects in a variety of market sectors in London.Existing clients include Portman Estates, the Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn,the Royal Household and Somerset House,” said Smith.“We aim to provide a high degree of client liaison, planning and site supervision to ensure projects run smoothly. The new team will allow us to improve the level of support we can give to our projects in London, which cover the spectrum from historic building upgrades to new commercial buildings.”
Gifford’s new M&E team will be based at the company’s office in Southwark Street, and a recruitment drive for new London based staff will be mounted in the coming months.
