Following its UK success in delivering integrated systems solutions for precise air management, Fläkt Woods is to take the same innovative approach to markets across Europe with Neil Yule, formerly UK Business Unit Director, being appointed to lead the drive in a new senior role.
He said: “There is growing demand for integrated solutions with the benefits of single-source procurement, in particular the expertise available when all elements derive from a sole manufacturer. Customers want assurance of certain compatibility and optimised functionality, driving energy efficient solutions and better indoor air climate systems . They look at a huge range of complementary products, encompassing all system component types, and increasingly want every part of their system to bear the Fläkt Woods logo. We aim to repeat the UK’s integrated solutions success throughout Europe.”
At the same time, Fläkt Woods has underlined the fundamental importance of fans to its business in UK and export with the creation of a new senior role. Allan Hurdle, joining from Elta Fans, has been appointed Managing Director, UK Fans Business. His experience includes having held senior positions with fan companies for almost two decades. Allan Hurdle said: “We offer unparalleled expertise in fans, which are invariably at the heart of precise air management solutions, and will continue to build upon our long-established enviable reputation with our recent investment in Colchester.”
Finally Mark Grimes has been appointed Managing Director, Fläkt Woods System Products for UK and Ireland. He was formerly Business Unit Director for Ireland.  Reporting to Mark and responsible for System Sales in the UK will be Linden Shuttleworth. Mark Grimes said: “Combining an unrivalled breadth of products with equally impressive know-how will form the basis for continuing success.”
Neil, Allan and Mark will report to Patrick Pouliquen, Fläkt Woods Senior Vice President – Air Climate Europe, who said: “We could not have found better individuals to fill these three new roles. Each combines detailed technical understanding with an appreciation of market demands that can only benefit both existing and new customers.”
