Design consultancy Morgan Professional Services (MPS) is providing sustainability advice and complex mechanical and electrical engineering design for Carnegie Primary in Dunfermline East, which is acccset to be one of Scotland’s greenest.

Key sustainable features include a Combined Heat and Power engine providing heating and electricity; a rainwater harvesting system and natural ventilation. The client brief was able to achieve a BREEAM rating of Excellent, possibly Outstanding, in order to support ‘Making Fife the leading green council in Scotland’ – one of the local authority’s stated priorities.

Carnegie Primary is part of the council’s £126 million Building Fife’s Future programme which will see six new schools created.
