The Service and Maintenance Division of Kershaw Mechanical Services Ltd, the Cambridge-based building services experts, has successfully tendered for the contract to manage Harborough District Council’s Mechanical & Electrical maintenance and repairs across its estate of properties. This latest win will see Kershaw responsible for making sure the building services at the Council’s 16 sites, spread across the Harborough district in Leicestershire, are kept in first rate condition for the next five years. Buildings within the remit include Harborough Market, the Harborough Innovation Centre and The Symington Building which accommodates the Council offices as well as other services and organisations.
Kershaw’s team of engineers will deliver full Mechanical & Electrical maintenance to a variety of systems including all HVAC plant, electrical systems, fire alarms, CCTV, generators, high voltage plant, lifts and water treatment (Legionella).
The company has also recruited a multi-skilled engineer local to the Harborough area to be part of the team servicing the contract. Richard Royal, the General Manager for Kershaw’s Service and Maintenance division, explained “Support for the local community is integral to our business ethos, and it reflects our commitment to the Public Services (Social Value) Act 2012 which is about investment for the benefit of the wider community.”
Earlier this year, Kershaw Mechanical Services celebrated 25 years of supporting grass roots football in its local area, via its sponsorship of the Cambridgeshire County League.
