The Glen Dimplex Group has announced the acquisition of Ability Projects, based in Poole, Dorset – specialists in the design, manufacture and supply of fan coil units (FCUs) and digital control technology.

Founded in 1973, the Glen Dimplex Group is an international group and the world’s leading manufacturer of electrical heating technologies, as well as holding significant global market positions in domestic appliances, cooling, ventilation and renewable energy solutions.

Recently listed as one of the Top 1000 Companies to Inspire Britain and winner of the ‘Air Movement Product of the Year’ category at the 2015 H&V Awards, Ability Projects is a perfect acquisition for the Glen Dimplex Group. As well as producing the most energy efficient FCUs available, it also has a range of Heat Recovery Units and Twin/Single Fan Units. Based in a new 30,000 sq foot factory in Poole, and with a dedicated showroom in London, Ability Projects also exports products to New Zealand, The UAE, Australia, and Hong Kong and has manufacturer’s representatives in the USA and Canada.
