A new solution to achieving Regulatory requirements on background ventilation in noisy locations has been devised by Passivent Ltd. The company has developed its Acoustic Vent to fit easily through the window frame and give 25000mm2 equivalent ventilation area into the room in line with the requirements of Approved Document F1, whilst cutting down noise penetration to up to 40dB.
Airflow can be regulated to personal preference; ensuring people have a quiet, draught-free environment even right by a city centre or airport.
Its robust construction from aluminium and plastic makes it durable and resistant to damage, particularly in high abuse areas. Internal filters not only keep out rain and insects but also minimise dust penetration into the room, helping keep it clean. Manufactured as standard in white, the Acoustic Vent is available in other colours to special order to match the colour of the window frame.
The new Acoustic Vent compliments the established range of Passivent background ventilators, available in through-window and through-wall options. Passivent is the only natural ventilation supplier to offer an optional design and 12 years guarantee.
