GEM Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Thermal Energy International (TEI), has taken over the European rights to Kemco International’s range of water and heat recovery products following the signing of an agreement between Thermal Energy International Inc and Florida based Kemco Systems Inc.

GEM has acquired the rights to the existing Kemco pipeline of sales opportunities for the UK and Europe and has also boosted its technical knowledge and expertise of the Kemco product range by employing three members of staff from the Belfast based company.

The agreement will further enhance GEM’s range of products, which include its award winning venturi orifice stream trap range and TEI’s Flu-Ace heat recovery system.   Kemco’s boiler stack economizer, which can cover up to 80% of waste heat found in a boiler’s exhaust, together with Kemco’s heat recovery system will strongly compliment the company’s existing range of environmental products.

In addition, Kemco International’s range of heat exchangers and water filtration equipment will enable GEM to provide a total solutions package to capitalise on customers’ growing demands for a single source supplier for the control and efficient use of steam processes.

Commenting, Peter Bennett, sales & marketing director for GEM said:  “The strong customer and industry overlap between Kemco, GEM and TEI will provide us with significant opportunities for sales synergy and expansion.  We are very excited about this agreement and the openings it provides for us to expand these tried and tested environmental technologies throughout Europe.”
