The 2015 Gas Safety Management Conference and AGSM (Association of Gas Safety Managers) Gas Safety Awards have been launched by the organisers, CORGI Technical Services. Tickets are now on sale and nominations are being accepted for the Awards.

Now in its third year, the conference provides strategic direction for the sector and innovation to help shape the industry. Organised for gas managers, directors and facilities management organisations in social housing, the conference will include technical updates and topical debates.

It will take place on April 28 and 29 at Heythrop Park, Enstone, Oxfordshire. The AGSM Gas Safety Awards Dinner will take place in the ballroom at Heythrop Park on April 28, 2015.

The speakers and topics will include a senior government spokesman tackling the latest gas issues in social housing, board members from Housing Associations, a follow-up to the popular Barrister 2014 Court Room scenario, new energy in social housing and the latest news on the AGSM lobbying activities.

Claire Heyes, CEO of the AGSM said: “The AGSM is currently leading three major lobbying campaigns for improving gas safety, assisting housing organisations and saving public money.

“The Conference will be a key event for further discussion, updating delegates and gathering of views on the way forward. Members of the AGSM are very dedicated and actively involved. As the leadership organisation for gas managers in social housing, we have put gas safety high on every organisation’s agenda and under the political spotlight.”

The AGSM Gas Safety Awards celebrate the achievements of gas managers and directors in social housing, contractors working with them and suppliers to the industry. They recognise initiatives, personal success and outstanding contributions to gas safety. It is also a great networking event.
